                                   जल ही जीवन है


जल  पृथ्वी की आत्मा, जल देता है प्राण ।

बड़ा ही शक्तिवान जल, करे सृष्टि निर्माण ।।


जल हमारे जीवन का आधार  है। यह केवल एक प्राकृतिक संसाधन ही नहीं है बल्कि, ऊर्जा, प्रकृति, प्रेरणा,  दुनिया को ताजगी और सौंदर्य देने वाला  पदार्थ है। जल समस्त प्रकृति के लिए प्रेरक शक्ति है।










इतिहास साक्षी है कि जल लाखों लोगों को स्थानांतरित करने की शक्ति रखता है। सिर्फ मनुष्य को  ही नहीं ,सजीव और निर्जीव सभी चीजों को प्रत्यक्ष अथवा अप्रत्यक्ष रूप से  जल की आवश्यकता होती है।यह हमारी व्यक्तिगत जिम्मेदारी है कि हम  जल का प्रयोग बुद्धिमानी से करें, बहुत सारे पेड़ लगाऐं ,स्वच्छता बनाए रखें और जल को प्रदूषित होने से बचाएं । हाइड्रोलॉजिस्ट द्वारा दिए गए निर्देशों का पालन करके हम पर्यावरण और जल चक्र दोनों का सरंक्षण कर, जल प्रबंधन में अपना  महत्वपूर्ण सहयोग दे सकते हैं। जल की सेवा, पृथ्वी की सेवा! 


जैसा कि हमारे ग्रंथों में भी लिखा है प्रकृति  में पाँच तत्व हैं जो पूरे भौतिक संसार को नींव प्रदान करते हैं - आकाश, वायु, अग्नि, जल और पृथ्वी । उस में से मानव शरीर में ही नहीं,  बल्कि इस पृथ्वी का 72% भाग भी जल ही है।


जल की एक प्रकृति चिकित्सक-रूप में भी है। जल शरीर को पोषण और ऊर्जा देता है। शुद्ध जल विश्व की प्रथम एवं प्रमुख औषधि है। तन के अलावा जल हमारे मन को भी निर्मल करता है। हमारे सुख और दुख में आंसू बनकर पानी आंखों से निकलता है  । पानी हमारे मन के भावों को  व्यक्त ही नहीं करता, अपितु जिंदगी में आगे बढ़ते रहने, कभी ना रुकने, हर रूप में ढल जाना जैसे कई पाठ सिखाता है। 


पानी की विशेषता इसके प्रवाह, ठोस, तरल और गैस रूप, अनुकूलन और पदार्थों को बाँधने की क्षमता मे  है। वैज्ञानिक और बुद्धिजीवी सोचते थे कि अगली शताब्दी के लिए टेक्नोलॉजी रिसर्च का महत्वपूर्ण मुद्दा होगा। पर जल की गतिशील, परिपूर्ण ,प्रगतिशील,समग्र प्रकृति को देखते हुए सबसे प्रमुख और मुख्य मुद्दा जल ही  है । जल विज्ञान का आधार है।


स्वच्छ जल हमारे देश का भविष्य है और इस पर निवेश आवश्यक है। जल संकट का सामना ज्यादातर पिछड़े हुए देश और गांव कर रहे हैं, जहां विश्व की सबसे ज्यादा जनसंख्या रहती है। 22 मार्च को मनाए जाने वाले विश्व जल दिवस  का उद्देश्य विश्व के सभी विकासशील  देशों को स्वच्छ जल की उपलब्धता करना और जल संरक्षण को महत्व देना है। सही मायने में ग्लोबलाइजेशन तभी होगा जब हम पानी को सरहद टाल कर बहने देंगे । पानी प्रकृति का है, इसलिए बिना किसी बाधा, जात-पात, देश-विदेश और सरहद को माने इसे जरूरतमंद लोगों तक पहुंचने दे । जल दान महादान।


पानी अद्भुत जीवन मेला लगा  सकता है-- कोई भी स्थान कभी सूना नहीं हो सकता अगर वहां पानी हो।जल खुशी, भव्यता और आनंद का स्वरूप है।


जल चक्र और जीवन चक्र एक ही हैं।'इसलिए जल की बर्बादी,जीवन की बर्बादी है।जल जीवन का पदार्थ और और माध्यम भी है । जल के बिना जीवन नहीं - जल ही जीवन है।
